Climate Emergency Fund acts as a safe bridge between funders and activists with an extensive network of movement experts.

Climate Emergency Fund is a funding intermediary and venture philanthropy that raises money for, and makes grants to grassroots climate groups who utilize nonviolent disruption as part of their campaigning.

As the climate crisis worsens, only a nonviolent, disruptive, people-powered climate movement can create the social and political will for rapid decarbonization.

Because movements remain critically underfunded, Climate Emergency Fund fills a gap to fund ambitious groups in their early stages, carefully vetting the groups most likely to have outsized impact. Since 2022, our grantees have mobilized 440,000 people and generated over 230,000 news stories.

Our grantees are at the forefront of the climate movement, and we are proud to support their courageous work. Find out more about the board and team that ensures your donations can make the biggest difference.
